the abbasi brothers. was going to post a cool dream-related song by them here, but I have been foiled by the tumblr technology. in any case, ‘something like nostalgia’ is a great ambient/experimental album.
#1 - A DREAM YOU HAVE YET TO LIVE OUT. (FF)
hard to choose just one. I count myself among the dreamers. (:
1) tour in a cool band with violins. (a la ra ra riot. but more like counterfit meets sigur ros meets american football. or something like that :)
2) play immediately whatever I think— on guitar, on drums. write clearly whatever I see— fiction, non-fiction.
3) eat pasta in italy
4) eat sashimi in japan
5) see the following artists live: m83, sigur ros, hammock, john mayer, brooke waggoner, & quite a few more. had a chance to see sigur ros in san diego a few years back but passed it up. it’s probably one of my top regrets in life :O
6) learn tagalog. (forreals!)
7) romance.
8) see hearts opened & wounds healed from misrepresentations of christianity in word & in deed. (including at my own hands. so serious about this one.)
9) wake up in a different city every day
10) wake you up in general
for what is living without dreaming
